Students will practice their research skills using these task cards. The questions were created using the World Book Online Encyclopedia Kids Edition. They come in both print and digital versions. The digital is for Google Slides.
Every task card has a fact on it. Students will read the fact and then have 3 questions to answer related to that fact. Once the student has found the answer, they can write it on the recording sheet. You can have students answer just one question from each card, two questions or all three. By having three different questions you can easily differentiate.
I did attempt to make each question slightly harder to find then the previous question. For a few questions, the student will have to do a second keyword search to find the answer to the question. These would be for question 3 only.
To create the questions, I used the World Book Online Encyclopedia Kids version. However, I think that most of the questions could be answered using other reference sources or other internet sites.
The digital task cards are identical to the print version. Students will need to insert a text box and type their answers directly onto the slide. There is a yellow box on the slide every place the students needs to do this. You can also have the students record their answers on a recording sheet instead.
