Description

This is a set of 36 synonym task cards. Each card has a book title on it with one of the words underlined. Students need to use their thesaurus to look up a synonym for the underlined word. The student will then write the underlined word and the new synonym on their recording sheet. The cards are not numbered so you can choose which cards you want to use. There are 3 recording sheets included (but no answer key since there are many possible answers).

These task cards can be used in a variety of ways.

• Centers
• Small groups
• Scoot game
• Whole-class instruction
• Fast finishers

A thesaurus will be needed to use these cards.
