⇒ Instructions for using this resource with Microsoft OneDrive
⇒ 4 Google Slide files (Reference Materials file, Online Encyclopedia file and answer keys for each)

• The reference materials file is 9 slides. There are two slides that review what each type of reference material is and when to use each of the sources.
• Almanac slide (students look up the answers to 6 different questions)
• Thesaurus practice (2 slides)
• Atlas scavenger hunt (students look up the answers to 7 different questions)
• Using a dictionary (3 slides)

****The almanac worksheet was created using the National Geographic Kid’s 2017 edition. I tried to make the questions generic enough that any edition would work.

• Online Encyclopedia file has 4 slides
♦ Introduction to an online encyclopedia
♦ an example of reading an online encyclopedia article
♦ 2 scavenger hunt slides (students answer several different questions)

Most of the slides require students to type in their answers or use moveable shapes on the slides. I did include text boxes in every place students need to type in text.
