Description
Get ready for the end of the year with this fun and interactive digital breakout. for grades 2nd and 3rd. Students will review library skills that they have learned throughout the school year. Plus students LOVE digital breakouts so this activity is sure to keep your students engaged and learning during the last hectic days of the school year. It can also be used any time during the year as a review activity.
Students DO NOT NEED a Google account or login to complete this activity. The breakout is completed through Google Forms. All that’s needed is a device with an internet connection.
The content of this breakout is identical to my End of the Year Digital Breakout Grades 4-5. That breakout was made with a Google Site. Since so many schools block student access to Google Sites I wanted to create an alternative.
***If you purchased the Google Sites version of this breakout before 5/4/2020 I will email this breakout for free. All I need is your name, order number and email address. Send that information to [email protected].
This can be used during distance learning. You can add the form to your Google Classroom or email the link to parents.
What you need to use this breakout:
- Chromebooks, computers, laptops or some type of mobile device. You will need one device for each team. I recommend teams of 2-3 students if possible. The devices must be connected to the internet.
- Scratch paper for students to write down the lock codes while they are working.

- Teacher directions

- QR code (for accessing the form with mobile devices using a QR code reader app)

The breakout will take approximately 40 minutes to complete, less time if your students are familiar with the format.
