About Me

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. When I first met my husband, I couldn’t believe his last name was really Cool. I joked that it was the only reason I married him—but it turns out, the name fits. I’ve made it my mission to keep the library a “cool” and welcoming space for all students.

I believe that for children to become lifelong readers, they have to enjoy reading. When I began my career, I stepped into the shoes of a retiring librarian who ran a very strict and formal program. Unsurprisingly, the students weren’t excited about reading or coming to the library. I knew that had to change.

Since then, I’ve focused on creating engaging, interactive lessons and building a collection that excites even the most reluctant readers. That passion eventually led me to open my Teachers Pay Teachers store in 2012, where I share many of the same lessons I use with my own students. My goal is simple: to help make your life easier by providing high-quality, ready-to-use resources.
